Monster Clash
The weekly guild event – your guild fights through monster waves in its own arena and competes for the top of the ranking.
Once a week, guilds face off in Monster Clash – but not head to head. Every guild fights the same monster waves in its own copy of the arena. Clear more waves, faster, and you climb the ranking.
The Monster Clash window
Open it with /mc, from the start menu or at the NPC in Flaris (menu entry Monster Clash). It shows:
- the event status with countdowns to the start and to the registration deadline
- requirements and entry fee
- the registered guilds
- the members of your guild who are online
- this week’s and last week’s ranking
You can look at everything from anywhere. Registering and cancelling only work near the NPC.
Registration
- Build your team – the guild master or Kingpin clicks online members in the window to add or remove them. Only members who meet every requirement can be picked.
- Register – press Register lineup at the NPC. The entry fee is taken once.
- Change the team – Update lineup is free until registration closes.
Current rules:
- 3 to 6 members per team, each at least level 60
- entry fee of 1,000,000 Penya
- registration closes 30 minutes before the start and only works on the event channel
- a member can only be in one team
- each guild plays once per week
Getting the fee back
The fee is refunded if you cancel (Cancel), if too few team members are online at the start, if the start was missed, or if a server restart interrupts the event.
Fighting in the arena
At the start, every team with enough members online is teleported into its own arena. After a short countdown the waves come one after another:
- The next wave starts 3 seconds after the current one is cleared – or when its time limit runs out. A wave that timed out can still be cleared later.
- Boss waves are marked.
- If you die, you come back in the arena after a short time (currently 10 seconds).
- Monsters in the arena normally drop no items.
Leave the arena and you are out
Reviving in town, teleporting away or logging out ends your run. Logging back in does not bring you back into the arena.
During the fight a HUD shows the current wave, cleared waves, time and time left, kills, monsters left, your current rank and your revival countdown.
End and ranking
The event ends when every guild has cleared every wave, nobody is left in an arena, or time runs out (currently 20 minutes). Teams are ranked by:
- number of cleared waves
- time until the last cleared wave – cleared waves can grant a time bonus
- number of kills
Participants get a results window, the top 10 are posted in chat on every channel, and everyone is sent out of the arena.
Rewards
- Rank rewards (items and Penya) for every member still in the arena at the end
- Participation reward for every member who started
- Top buff: the best ranks earn a buff for every guild member online on the event channel
Rewards go to your inventory or arrive by mail. Every run also counts as war contribution for your guild – and the Spoils of War skill or the Warlord specialization add more Penya.
