Badges
Collect badges for your achievements and show up to three of them next to your name.
Badges are small icons you earn for achievements in the game. Up to three of them sit above your head, to the left of your name – so everyone can see what you have done.
Your collection
Open it with /badge or the Badges applet. It is also a tab in the Legacy window and, in compact form, in the character window (H).
The window shows:
- your equipped badges at the top – click one to take it off
- Show on name / Hide to switch them on or off
- category filters
- a grid of every badge: owned ones with a frame in their rarity colour, equipped ones marked, locked ones dimmed with a lock and a progress bar
The tooltip shows name, rarity, category, description and, most importantly, how to earn the badge – including your progress.
Equipping badges
- Open the collection – with
/badge. - Pick your badges – Choose up to three of the badges you own.
- Show on name – They appear above your head for every player around you.
There is currently a 5 second wait between two changes.
How do you earn badges?
Most badges unlock on their own once you reach their goal. Goals can be things like:
- Fightingdefeating monsters or bosses
- Progressreaching a level, a Legacy rank or completing a Legacy challenge
- Monster Masterybringing monsters to a certain mastery tier
- Loyaltyplaytime or the age of your account
When you unlock one, a “Badge unlocked” notice pops up. Click it to open your collection.
Some badges can only be earned with an event code. Redeem it with /badge code WORD when the team announces one.
Special badges
- Hidden: some badges only show “???” until you own them.
- Account or character: some badges count for your whole account, others for one character. The tooltip tells you which.
- Season: season badges are yours for the current Legacy season only.
- Limited time: badges with an end date can neither be earned nor shown after that day.
- Free: a few badges everyone owns from the start.
Where badges do not show (yet)
Badges appear above players’ heads. They are not shown in chat, in party or guild lists or in the player info window.
