Awake window

Awaken your gear in one window – with up to 5 lines, locked lines, your own colours and an auto mode.

The Awake window rerolls the awake lines of your gear. You see the cost up front, can lock the lines you like and, if you want, let auto mode keep rolling until you hit your target.

How to awaken an item

  1. Open the window – with /awake or the Awake applet.
  2. Drop in an item – Drag it from your inventory into the slot. Right-click empties it again.
  3. Look at the lines – The window shows the current awake lines with the same texts as the tooltip.
  4. Check the cost – It is shown in the window before you roll.
  5. Press Awake – Confirm the Penya and scrolls and the new lines appear.

You can use weapons, armour, jewellery and costumes – the same items the scroll of awakening works on. Bound items are fine, equipped items currently are not: take the item off first.

Up to five lines

Here an item can get up to five awake lines instead of three. When you roll without locks, the number of lines is rolled as well – fewer lines are more common than many.

Lines 4 and 5 survive trading, mailing, relogging and channel changes.

Lines 4 and 5 are fragile

If you change the first three lines any other way – for example with a scroll of awakening or a cancel scroll – lines 4 and 5 are gone. Item links in chat also only show the first three lines.

Locking lines

Each line has a Lock box. Locked lines stay, all others are rerolled, and the number of lines stays the same.

  • At least one line is always rerolled – currently you can lock up to 4.
  • Every locked line costs extra Penya and a scroll. The window shows the exact cost.

Your own colours

The Colour button next to each line gives it one of 8 colours (or the default). You see the colour in the window and in the item’s tooltip – handy for spotting your best lines at a glance. Colours are only saved on your own computer.

Auto mode

Auto… opens auto mode, where you decide when it should stop:

  • Targetsup to 3 conditions, all or any of them, e.g. “a line has stat X of at least v” or “at least N lines”.
  • Budgeta maximum number of rolls, Penya or scrolls.
  • Jackpotoptional: stop right away when any line reaches a certain value.
  • Best possibleshows which values the item can reach at all and sets your targets to the top values.

Your locks from the main window apply to every roll. You can save up to 5 presets (on this computer only).

While it runs you see the rolls, rolls per second, Penya and scrolls spent, the current lines and the best result so far. A sound plays when you hit.

Same odds as by hand

Every auto roll is a normal roll: same cost, same chances. A run stops at your target, when the budget is used up, when you run out of Penya or scrolls, when you fight, teleport, log out or press Stop. You cannot awaken by hand while a run is going.
